English Garden Project

Watering, caring, planting, cleaning, digging, observing, trimming are verbs and actions that children learn in the Garden Project. They are participants in the development of the school garden.

It is an activity that they like very much, they are in contact with nature and they learn to take care of it. Apart from learning about gardening, and also the training of patience (by respecting nature's timings)... they learn English vocabulary related to gardening such as watering can, gloves, flower, vegetable, lettuce, spade. etc. We take advantage of this project to teach English through conversation, in this case using the garden theme, the interaction is natural and spontaneous, it's a project that focuses on the learning of content and language, following the CLIL methodology.
