The Set UP talk about Scotland was the inaugural session of the SET UP! Primary Talks programme featured Mr Jamie Saunderson, our language assistant, who delivered an engaging presentation about Scotland and his city, Glasgow.
Attended by Year 5 and Year 6 students, the session captivated young minds with fascinating insights into Scottish culture, history, and the vibrant life of Glasgow. Mr Saunderson shared his personal experiences living in the city, highlighting its rich heritage and friendly atmosphere.
The students were eager to learn and asked insightful questions, making it a truly interactive experience. This first session set an exciting tone for future discussions within the programme.
During the Set UP talk about Scotland, Mr Saunderson generously shared his experiences as a speaker:
“It was great to tell the boys all about myself and my home country of Scotland. I’ve had a brilliant time getting to know them all over the last few weeks, and I look forward to helping them improve their English throughout the coming year. I also can’t wait for our next speaking sessions to hear their questions about the Loch Ness monster, haggis and kilts!”
